Plumbing in Oshawa: What Makes Local Homes Different

Oshawa is really two cities for a plumber.

South and central Oshawa — the neighbourhoods around downtown, the O’Neill and Vanier areas, and the older streets near Lakeview Park — are full of homes built decades ago. In these houses we regularly find galvanized and cast iron supply lines, older clay sewer laterals prone to root intrusion, and the kind of aging drainage that benefits from a backwater valve and periodic hydro-flushing. Work here is often about diagnosis and careful upgrades, not just swaps.

North Oshawa — Windfields, Kedron, Samac, and the newer subdivisions near Ontario Tech University and Durham College — tells a different story. These are newer builds with PEX supply, builder-grade fixtures that start failing as warranties end, and sump pump systems that need backup before the first big storm. Here the common calls are fixture upgrades, sump pump battery backups, and finishing basements.

Knowing which Oshawa you’re standing in changes the right fix. That’s the difference between a plumber who services Oshawa and one who knows it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with these guys! I messaged them in a panic because we had a leak under our kitchen sink, and knowing that our plumbing from the previous owners wasn't great, that we would probably need to re do the whole thing. They replied quickly, and I was able to text them a photo of what I needed fixed, and they provided me a quote, details of what was going to need to be fixed, and WHY (this is super helpful), and worst case scenario, as well as an appointment asap. Ben and Owen were the two gentlemen who came to do the repairs, and they were quick, polite, and made sure everything was set, tested, and that we were aware of what was done before they left. And the pricing was absolutely more than reasonable. Will definitely be calling these guys again for any plumbing needs

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hakeem and Ben corrected a gas connection problem identified by Enbridge during their metre change process. A brand new quick connect valve and a proper shut off was installed, and it was really well done!
